Despite cold and rain, I ventured out to Red Hook for a delicious and unexpectedly satisfying Thanksgiving meal.
Some may think that not eating real bird on turkey day is not possible. But a Red Hook family served up a fine feast that featured a vegetarian’s version of a bird and it was quite good. Among all the fixings, the cranberry sauce was the best with its ‘splash’ of ginger.
In addition to the food, there was Old Speckled Hen beer, plenty of red wine and water to refresh.
