Wal-Mart Site Down, East Village Feels No Effects
As reported on the wire services today, the Wal-Mart website evidently succumbed to extreme traffic and was down for a period of time.
Meanwhile, in the East Village of New York City, shoppers and streets remained calm as storeowners were fully prepared for today’s onslaught of holiday hoards.
In keeping with tradition (see picture), clothing was put in the streets and given away free, everywhere. Few takers emerged.
