Dsquared: 3,000 entrepreneurs making $20,000 a year

David Dalka is at SES Chicago and he notes, among his many observations, that “3,000 entrepreneurs [are] making $20,000 a year.”

How are those guys and gals making it?

I’d imagine there are a few scenarios and that some of those “poor” entrepreneues, who are likely among the crowd at Search Engine Strategies Chicago 2006, may be existing through the following means:

  • Their savings
  • Unemployment
  • Mom and Dad
  • They know how to stretch $20k and Ramen noodles ain’t that bad.

Other suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
