Ground Zero and the Holidays

Ground Zero‘ remains an area that at once inspires awe and a quiet horror – even during the holiday season. Now that I work in the area, I think about what occurred in that spot every time I see it, every time I walk by it. Maybe this will pass.. I’m not so sure.

Occasionally, I think I can see damage in the buildings that surround the area, but other than Deutsche Bank building, everything has been repaired. My reaction reminds me of another reaction I have every September 11. I watch every 9-11-related TV show that comes on, trying to see what happened and hoping to make sense of it. Never works.
