East Village’s Hop Devil Grill in 10009

As you can see from the photo, I chose one of the “staff picks” during a Friday evening visit to the Hop Devil Grill in New York’s East Village: Magic Hat Schwarz Beer.

No doubt Schwarz is sitting somewhere quite proud of himself because he brewed a good batch of bubbly beer. A darker ale, not quite a stout, hoppy but full of earth (made that part up) – I liked it.

So, if you’re in the hood, my hood, then stop by the Hop Devil Grill on 8th street and order yourself a cold pint of Magic Hat Schwarz and tell them EastVillagePodcasts.com sent you.

And then, when the barkeep looks at you puzzled, storm out of there and say “to hell with you bastards!”
