Garbage on My Doorstep, Sanitation on My Mind

Each morning I wake up, before I put on my makeup, I think of the garbage layin’ outside my East Village door.

Sure, there isn’t ALWAYS garbage outside my door, but there usually is. The post-holiday season breeds Christmas Trees on the street (including mine) and apparently attracts even more crud. Thank goodness for the intrepid employees of New York City Department of Sanitation. Rare is the ‘shout out’ for this crew but they keep the unbearable crud at bay and, for that, I am thankful.
