Wall Street 5K Run in Lower Manhattan

Lower Manhattan in New York City was teeming with runners on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 as thousands raced past the Ground Zero on a circuitous 5 kilometer route.

The run itself was dubbed “American Heart Association Start! Wall Street Run & Heart Walk” and was intended to raise awareness on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of heart disease and stroke.

One brave soul participated from the office and we applauded as he ran by - just in front of “New York’s Best Kept Secret, Century 21.”

I am once again reminded by this experience that I need to get back to my little Dolphin Gym in NYC’s East Village more often.
