The Violets Play Lit Lounge Tonight for Ron Paul
The Violets will be playing for the Ron Paul 2008 campaign tonight, 9/15 at Lit Lounge in the East Village of New York City (Second Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets in 10003). Scheduled starting time for the band’s set is 10:00 p.m. All are welcome.
With their YouTube success in tow, The Violets hope that their performance will impress reps from the Ron Paul campaign - a campaign with “balls” according to The Violets drummer Roger Carmien. What the next step might be if the campaign wants to embrace the song is unclear. But, sources suggest that this could be the tip of the iceberg and lead to more national exposure for both the campaign and the band.
