Cooper Square Hotel To Open February 1, 2008
Is it done yet?
The Cooper Square Hotel continues to be built at an elderly snail’s pace that has not been experienced in the East Village of New York City since …. I don’t know. It’s been a while. Check out the link on Google Maps Street Views which you gives you a picture of the site pre-construction.
Above, you see the current status of the building’s facade on Saturday, September 15, 2007. Of course, it’s difficult to say how much has really been done in the past month if you use only the facade as a measure.
But, this is my blog and … given that three additional floors have been facade-d in a month, I will put the new completion date as January (11 or 12 more floors to be covered divided by 3 floors per month give you January-ish).
Therefore… You heard it here first: The Cooper Square Hotel will open February 1! Get your Armani suits ready!
