Enormous Electric Bill at Cooper Square Hotel
It’s Christmas in September at the Cooper Square Hotel!
In anticipation of my predicted February 2008 opening, the Peck Moss Group (or is it just Moss Group? See Hotel Chatter’s latest update.) is lighting up the East Village skies of New York City with thousands of incandescent light bulbs.
For a construction project at night, I cannot recall any building more illuminated and, yet, devoid of human beings. Who needs all that light over there? Certainly not the area residents on Bowery or 5th or 6th Streets.
Maybe Studio Carlos Zapata is using the light as they reconfigure their latest blue prints?
