Cooper Square Hotel Almost Done, Bond NoHo Hotel Next
The Cooper Square Hotel skin continues to expand with just 5 floors to go until it completely envelops the little helicopter pad on top - or is it a rocket launcher?
There’s more interesting history on what the Cooper Square Hotel has flattened over on Vanishing New York. Apparently, an old, colonial-style home existed way-back-when and, in addition to the remaining wooden walls and stone foundation, remnants of a twin chimney’s fire had been left stained on the wall. In contrast, the Cooper Square on 5th Street and Bowery in 10003 will likely have a plasma monitor with roaring yulelog.
It’s ‘great’ to hear about the new “Bond NoHo Hotel” that will include a spa, bar and rooms priced $450 to $1,500 per night per the the Sun.
But, don’t worry if you’re still looking for a cheap room in downtown NYC.. there’s always the White House Hotel. You’ll love the spa and free ripple.
