The Street Bricks of Bond St. in Nolita
What is with the street bricks on Bond St.?
I have passed by these bricks for at least a year and the same jumble of brickage is covering the center of the street as you cross Bond on the east side of Lafayette St.
I haven’t checked the court docket in Lower Manhattan lately for injuries sustained in the East Village or Nolita area, but someone needs to get it together and tell Mayor Mike that it’s time to fix these bricks.
The NoHo Historic District has recently been extended by the Landmarks Preservation Commission according to a recent New York Sun article. Hopefully this will not be a further impediment to filling in the cracks.
End of rant.
