NYC Walk Raises Awareness and Funds for Autism Treatment

Walk Now For AutismThe Brooklyn-based Asperger’s research blogger reports on a successful walk today in New York City to raise awareness and funds for the treatment of autism. Autism Speaks promotes events around the country including today’s NYC event,
Walk Now For Autism,” which attracted an enthusiastic crowd in spite of intermittent rain showers.

This year’s goal was $1.5 million from all of the teams of marchers which included an impressive $1,000 raised by “Team Love and Hope” and a promise by the Brooklyn research blogger to deliver even more next year.
