Threat Level Raised to This Ain’t Right at Local Gym

Oh, that was tough.

EVP had a long workout today at Dolphin Gym on East 4 Street in the East Village and we could barely keep it together between the eyes watering and the gasping for air. As you can see, the threat level for smells has been raised to a never-before-seen “This Ain’t Right.”

When we entered the men’s locker room for the customary weigh-in post-workout, we discovered the culprit. Men! We’re stinking up that locker room, and now it has invaded the whole place. We’re guilty! I mean it is the world’s cheapest gym but.. we’re not sure how much more we can take.

How bad is it?

• It’s so bad gym workers are lighting candles at the front desk. (no joke)
• It’s so bad the Hazmat team no longer works out there. (rumor)
• It’s so bad that they give you a gas mask now when you ask for a towel. (rumor)

It’s only early-July! The dreaded “toxic” level seems inevitable.
