Saturday, August 16: The Most Beautiful Day of The Year in The East Village
We thought Saturday was “The Most Beautiful Day of the Year” in the East Village of New York City. In fact, with the images below as proof, EVP formally bestows the award to Saturday, August 16 for the year 2008. Congratulations.
In front of the Village View Apartments at about 2 p.m…
From the 7th floor of New Museum on the Bowery, New York City sparkled with crisp sunlight and warm, dry temps. Rene Magritte would have been impressed.
The sprinkler outside of PS 63 William McKinley School caught the morning rays while an EVP photographer tried vainly to stuff the image in his camera. For a second, we thought we saw the Virgin Mary.. might have been a grilled cheese.
And the Hamptons Jitney had removed half of the population of the East Village for the weekend.
