Night Light: Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House

Lower Manhattan’s Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House glows in the evening as a result of new lighting sponsored by Sylvania and designed by Randy Sabedra of RS Lighting Design.

Last Saturday night, as part of Open House New York (OHNY), and captured in the above video, Sabedra discussed the lighting of the Custom House which focuses on eco-friendly solutions that – no doubt – Sylvania wanted to be a part of.

In addition to the lighting on the building itself, care has been taken to give the plaza in front of the Custom House a moonlight glow. Overall, the effect of the lighting is effective and unlike the jarring laser beams of light that launch from other buildings in Manhattan.
